All of our stock was ruined - we must first dispose of that stock and get the store cleaned so that we may begin buying stock again. At this time we have no firm idea as to how long it will take to get Kid to Kid ® safe and clean enough for us to begin buying again. After we begin buying stock - it may take us up to 6-8 weeks to be fully stocked to have our Grand Re-Opening. We will update this message the moment we have new information.

Maryland's first KiD to KiD® store is located in the Cranbrook Shopping Center just three quarters of a mile off York Road in Cockeysville.
KiD to KiD® is an upscale children’s resale store offering two great ways to save when shopping for your children – by buying and selling! You can find the brands your kids want at really low prices, and you can earn money selling the clothes they’ve outgrown that are still in great condition. That's right, we pay you cash up front for your products and offer 20% MORE if you choose store credit.
We buy gently used children's items - APPOINTMENTS ARE NO LONGER NECESSARY. We are accepting walk-ins on a first-come first-serve basis Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
In order to minimize the amount of time first-time vendors would need to spend in the store during the buying process, you may wish to limit the amount of clothing you bring to one 20 gallon storage bin, or roughly an average size laundry basket. If you plan on bringing larger equipment and toys, please call first to be certain we have enough space to be able to purchase your items. After we have purchased from you the first time and you are comfortable with our process and pricing, you can elect to use our drop-and-dash option to drop off more items in the future - without having to wait for us to complete the buy.
Returning vendors can elect to do pre-approved drop and dashes during regular business hours.
We are accepting applications, and trying to increase our staff so that we may extend our buying hours for your convenience. Full- and part-time positions are available, and include creating in-store displays, assisting customers in selecting and purchasing items while maintaining a clean, friendly, and fun working environment. Associates will also assist in purchasing items from our vendors. Benefits include 30% off apparel items and 10% off new product and equipment!
What Are We Buying?
We are currently buying back to school and winter children's sizes 3-14. For infant sizes, we are looking primarily for top-line brands and/or super cute complete outfits.
Of course, we're always buying toys and equipment an books.

How Do We buy?
When you sell your items to KiD to KiD®, your payment is based on the style-, condition-, demand for, and brand of your items.
STYLE – Children’s clothing should be less than 5 years old. Sizes 10 - 14 and Maternity clothing should be less than 2 years old. Only very current styles sell for us in those sizes. Size 10 through 14 should be popular name brands such as Abercrombe, Justice, Hollister, Gap, etc. Equipment items, accessories, baby furniture, and toys should be less than 5 years old. Our customers look for safe, modern items, and toys with more entertaining features.
CONDITION – Clothing must be ready to be put onto the sales floor when we purchase it from you. We accept items that are in very good condition, freshly laundered and free of holes, tears and stains. We cannot accept clothing that smells of smoke or other odors or has pet hair on it. Clothing that shows wear such as worn knees, pilling or fading does not re-sell well for us. Infant car seats, toddler car seats and booster seats must be less than 4 years old.
DEMAND - We try to accommodate customers by providing items they are looking for and buy most. Items that decrease in popularity are discontinued or priced reasonably low.
BRAND – We sell items at well below retail price, but items that cost more originally may be priced higher and pay a higher percentage than items that retail for less.
Our computer buying program determines the price that we can pay for each item. There is no set percentage per item and we must see your items (furniture fully-assembled) in our store to give you an appraisal.
Key points to maximizing your payment amount!!
- Be sure your clothes are recently washed, odor and wrinkle free.
- Lay clothes flat in a box, storage bin or laundry basket. Please remove from hangers and remove all pins. We do not accept clothes in trash bags as they tend to be be creased and are too time consuming to process.
- Match up your outfits, including any accessories. This is especially important with clothing under 12 months (infant sizes). If tops and bottoms are the same size and were worn together please pair these items up -even if the pieces were not originally an outfit. We may purchase the pieces this way but we most likely will not buy them as separates.
- Be sure that all toys and equipment are clean, have all of their parts, and are in good repair.
- Remember the better your items look the more money you make!

Store Credit: Receive 20% more by choosing store credit. This system of “trading” allows you to outfit your kids at an incredible savings. You don’t have to spend it all at once - use it when you need it!
